Hailey Ennen-Lawson,
Licensed Massage Therapist & Yoga Teacher
I am a licensed massage therapist (LMT) and yoga instructor based in Austin, TX. I has been working to help people achieve mind-body connection since 2021, and my passion for movement and kinesthetic awareness precedes my professional practice by over a decade.
I have been a passionate dancer for most of my life, and my goal is to help people who love movement keep doing what they love as long as possible. I also aim to help people find more freedom and joy through movement, wherever they are in their practice of self-care and discovery.

In both my yoga and massage sessions, I prioritize teaching my clients proper alignment to maintain joint health and longevity. Through massage, I addresses fascial restrictions caused by everyday movement patterns, and through yoga I helps to retrain your body to maintain healthier patterns of motion.
Awaken Austin; The Vision

Awaken Austin offers private yoga, stretching, and massage to help active people stay active, and to provide a starting place for people who are curious about movement. We aim to help you increase and maintain flexibility and strength so you can continue to do the things that make you You.
Your body is a priceless instrument, and it needs to be tuned to keep playing beautifully. We aim to help you with regular maintenance as well as aiding recovery from injuries, and helping you develop greater awareness and balance in your body.

Credentials & Training
My Approach
Every body is different. I employ a wide variety of techniques in both massage and yoga so that each session is tailored to my clients' needs and preferences.

That knot nobody seems to get? Not only will I find it, but I will search for its cause. That yoga posture that always hurts? Together we will figure out why, build proper alignment tools to support you, and find modifications you can take with you to your next yoga class.

I aim to give you the tools to live your best life , and love existing in your body. I strive to help you heal, so you keep coming back because you want to, not because you need to. You may start your wellness journey from need, but my goal is to get you to the point where massage and private yoga is something you do for maintence and joy.
I Listen First
First, I listen to what you have to say.
What are your goals? What has been bothering you? What brings you joy in your yoga practice, or massages you have had in the past? Nobody knows your body better than you do!
Tailored Technique
You've told me what you want and need, now I begin to listen in other ways.

Whether this is a massage or yoga session, I analyze your posture and alignment. During your massage, I let my hands hear what your fascia has to say. All of this information combined helps me to determine any imbalances -- where you are holding your stress, what muscles are overworking and which are underused -- and what I can do to help retrain your body into proper holding patterns
Ongoing Partnership
My goal is to help you retrain your body. Consistency is key, and as much as I would love to see you every week, there is so much you can do at home to maintain your progress!

Its my job to help you figure out the problem, and (during massage) unwind your fascia to provide you better mobility. The best healing, however, comes from what you do in between sessions. If you go right back to whatever you were doing before that was making your body ache, all the massage and guided movement in the world is just a temporary fix.

As I get to know you and your body better, we work together to make a plan. Then it is up to you to do your homework!

This is an ongoing partnership, with constant change and growth. The aim is progress, and my hope is to see you reach your goals and help you attain new ones!
The Beginning
Awaken Austin was established by Stacey Lemire in 2016. She started her journey as a massage therapist in 1996. Upon receiving her massage certification, she immediately immersed herself in Texas politics, becoming an advocate for the efficacy of massage therapy as a real healing modality. She helped to establish today's more rigorous education requirements for massage therapy licensure in Texas and worked hard on portability across the U.S.

Stacey began teaching at a private school in 1999, then in 2006 she became a Professor of Massage Therapy at Austin Community College (ACC), where she still teaches all subjects related to massage and bodywork. That's where she met me!

Stacey has a unique approach to healing, involving gentle but effective method including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation and Positional Release. Her techniques focus on retraining the body through reciprocal inhibition, a neuromuscular reflex where the activation of a contracting muscle (the agonist) causes the simultaneous, involuntary relaxation of its opposing muscle. This gentle approach to healing helps to increase range of motion and get clients back to their daily activities after surgeries, car accidents, and other injuries.
Passing the Torch
I stayed after class every day to ask Stacey questions about PNF and positional release. These techniques were a limited portion of our education, and I wanted to learn as much as I could! She provided me with additional resources to study on my own, and invited me to come to her in-home massage studio for a session. Our session turned into a long private lesson on PNF techniques, and we remained in contact after my graduation from massage school.

In April 2026, Stacey asked me if I would like to take over Awaken Austin, to keep the name alive after she retired. She wanted to pass the torch to someone who would continue to provide this incredibly effective and surprisingly rare modality to her clients in Austin, and anyone else who might need it.
The Legacy of Awaken Austin
The Muscle Magician
Stacey continues to mentor new massage therapists, passing on her “special sauce” to the next generation.

I discovered PNF during my time at ACC when I was lucky enough to be a demo body for Stacey. Years of dance—especially forced turnout in ballet—left me with severe hip restrictions from bone spurs, and repeated labral tears. Even after FAI surgery and labral repair on my left hip, my range of motion hadn’t improved. Both legs struggled to turn inward, and movement was often painful. I worried I might never express myself fully through dance again.

Stacey told us her clients called her the “Muscle Magician”—and then proved why. After about 10 minutes of gentle positional release and PNF work on my surgical side, she asked me to turn my legs inward. I had gained nearly 45° of rotation—more than I’d ever had! I couldn’t stop laughing in disbelief and immediately asked her to do the other side.

That moment changed everything. My “duck walk” is gone, and I’m back to dancing and practicing yoga several times a week.
